The book Maelstrom by Peter Cawdron is a science fiction story. The story of a blue light phenomenon is told in three parts. The lights act as a passage to parallel worlds. In the first part, Dr Chen meets a Homo neanderthalensis. The second story is about Vicky and police officer Mark. They must escape an area of demolished buildings and prehistoric animals. Alex and Hayami travel back to their homeworld, Earth 10000, to return the quantum ship and the atom bomb. Since an occupying alien race has banned all technology, they are the only hope of attacking the alien base and forcing them to negotiate. They receive help from another alien race. Alex and Hayami have noticed that some quantum worlds have disappeared. When they confront the aliens about this, the aliens are terrified because it confirms an old warning from a malevolent being. I really enjoyed the book. Available at Amazon.

The book Dark Beauty by Peter Cawdron is a science fiction story. Daktota and Billy were kidnapped by Arctrixmatric aliens and held captive in a zoo. What they don't know is that the telepathic aliens adore humans, and the director is doing everything he can to make their stay as comfortable as possible. For the Arctrix, time and space are accessible at any time. Through visions, the director tries to show Dakota and Billy why they are so important. At around 131 pages, the book is quite short. I liked to read the book. Available at Amazon.

The book My Sweet Satan by Peter Cawdron is a science fiction story. Jazz was forcibly awakened from her cold sleep aboard the starship Copernicus. As a result, she lost her memory. The other crew members were woken up shortly afterwards. They noticed that their mission had changed. They were now tasked with examining the space object Bestla, which was in orbit around Saturn. The audiobook Freund oder Feind (Raumstation Alpha-Base 3) (german) by James Owen is the third story in a series. Al Cardel, a leader of the Imperium, visits Alpha Base Station. Shortly afterwards, his ship is attacked by another Imperium ship. They demand Al Cardel's surrender or they will attack Alpha Base. An Imperium soldier takes an Alpha Base prisoner and they land to the planet Zulu. She wants to make contact with the original inhabitants. The speakers are from the Star Trek: Voyager series. As Alpha Base cannot return to Earth, Captain Nicole Schwing decides to orbit the planet Zulu. A team is sent to the planet. They are soon attacked. As they flee, they meet one of the planet's original inhabitants. The priest tells them that the planet was attacked by aliens who destroyed everything. PhD student Dawn McAllister has noticed manipulations in old astronomical photographs of Przybylski's Star. An object appears to have vanished from new digitalised pictures. A Chinese AI called Cassiopeia is involved. Murder is committed to keep the secret. Dawn's brother, astronaut Ryan, is flying to the Psyche asteroid, which is in orbit between Mars and Jupiter. The author explains that AI is a valuable tool for creating these books. A funny fact is that the author thanks herself on the final thank you page. Overall, the book provides a general overview of the genre and offers some useful tips. Meanwhile, Dr Müller has kidnapped Hector, Giovanni's son. Hector is key to Ufuk's technology. Jess and her teammates are travelling to the Chinese sanctuary to rescue him. Ufuk will stop at nothing to realise his vision of a new chance for mankind. Meanwhile, Saturn is approaching Earth, endangering the survival of the human race. The book Widerstand (Die neue Erde 3) (german) by Matthew Mather is the third book of the series. Jess is confronted with the fact that Dr Müller is walking free despite confessing his crimes to her. Ufuk Erdogmus shows her the Vivas Sanctuary in the Swiss Alps and builds her a new high-tech prosthetic leg. When the sanctuary is attacked, they have to flee. They flee to Africa. Ufuk wants to visit his secret underground laboratory. He wants to contact the Mars First spacecraft, which was sent on his mission to Mars. Due to changes in planetary positions, however, the spacecraft is now heading for Saturn. Once again, Jessica is followed by Dr Müller, who intends to steal Erdogmus's secrets and get rid of Jessica. The book Zuflucht (Die neue Erde 2) (german) by Matthew Mather is the second book of the series. Jess is being sought because of her father's data. The small group consisting of Jess, Giovanni, his son Hector, Leone, Raffa, his brother Lucca, Rita and her sister, as well as Roger and Massara, find a plane. Since Europe is getting colder, they want to flee to Africa in it. When Jess is captured by Dr Müller, he explains to her what he did. She is able to send a testimonial and is saved by Ufuk Erdogmus, who brings her to the Vivas Sanctuary in the Swiss Alps. The second book was again really entertaining and I liked to read it. The audiobook Aurora: Der Algorithmus der Wahrheit (german) by Titus J. Rinke is about the power of the tech companies. Algorithms determine which news stories we see and therefore the companies behind the algorithms decide which news is good for us. However, there are also parts of the code that incite hatred or discriminate against minority groups. It's opaque. What if the algorithms could be made transparent and people could decide what is good for them? What if trolls who spread hate speech and fake news could be clearly identified? A group of five students starts a movement that takes online content in that direction. I found the book quite interesting. Available at Amazon.

The book Green by Thariot is a mystery thriller. Army veteran Kristof, his wife Sophie, and their daughter Laura live in Aachen, Germany. One day, a green plant starts to grow uncontrollably in the park near their house and their daughter disappears. Suddenly, the trees and bushes grow giant-sized and destroy the cities. Everyone is evacuated. As Kristof embarks on a mission to find his daughter, he must enter the new jungles where time flows differently. I liked the book. Available at Amazon.

After a press meeting at which Europe's first interstellar space station is presented, the base jumps unexpectedly to another solar system. With some crew members having died and a fast return to Earth no longer possible, it is imperative to find out what is going on. The speakers are from the Star Trek: Voyager series. At the end of 1944, the young German soldier Karl Meier was sent from Berlin to Greece. He was tasked with assisting Professor Schmidt in searching for the Oracle of Delphi. There, Karl meets Sophia, a girl his own age. She knew about the Oracle. Sophia knew that she would die in the end. Karl must decide what to do with what he has found. What is best for mankind? The book ENTROPIE (german) by Erik Harlandt is a science fiction thriller. In the year 2084 an AI directed government is controlling countries. Governments are being controlled by AI. People like Falk rely on personal KIs. When an asteroid is discovered that is approaching Earth, Falk and his personal KI, Dag, experience blackouts and visions. It seems that they are being contacted by something on the asteroid. They are tasked with flying to the asteroid to find out what is behind the signal, in the hope of averting a collision. The story was quite interesting, funny, and I liked it. Available at Amazon.

The book Der Unsterbliche (german) by Joshua Tree is a science fiction thriller. FBI geneticist Mason Brown and Interpol agent Jonna Nielsen have been tasked with finding out what happened at a Swiss biotech start-up. People were murdered after the company announced that they had discovered the genetic code for longevity. The only successfully test subject who has the solution in his genes is escaped. Reverse engineering the code could reveal the solution. However, the subject will die in three days if they do not find him before. An emotionless killer has also been tasked with finding the results of the experiment. I enjoyed reading the book very much. Available at Amazon.

The book Die Delphi Diplomatie: Delphi in Space 15 (german) by Bob Blanton and Abyline I. Dahlson is the fifteenth book in a science fiction series. Catie McCormack visits another planet to encourage its population to join the Delphi Alliance. From the outset, upon entering the planetary system, they discover a trap has been set for them. Cathy discovers a two-class population and decides to help the disadvantaged group establish a better future for everyone. I found the book average. The story was sometimes difficult to follow. Nevertheless, it fits into the series and shows a different side to Catie, who is now twenty and wants to make her own decisions. Available at Amazon.

The book Quantenraum: Jenseits des Multiversums (german) by Ivan Ertlov is the fourth book in the series, or the first book of a new trilogy.  Alex and Hayami live with their two children on a parallel planet Earth. They have everything they need and are happy. One day, they are contacted by a visitor from their home world. Earth is in great danger, with all technology having been destroyed by an alien race. The book Nomad (Die neue Erde 1) (german) by Matthew Mather is the first book of the series. Astronomer Ben Rollings has been asked to help NASA understand what is going on. Something massive is approaching our solar system and will pass through it. Ben realises that this could mean the end of the world. He warns his daughter, Jessica, who is visiting Italy with her mother. No matter what, Ben wants to be near his family. The book was really entertaining and I liked to read it. Available at Amazon.

The book GENESIS - Der Neubeginn: Das Fermi Paradoxon 3(german) by Cliff Allister, is the last book in a science fiction trilogy. Jaron and the crew of the Lady Luck are tasked by aliens with repairing a dimensional gap to an enemy universe. Meanwhile, former criminal Krusak is fleeing to the planet Vaticanus, where he must help free the new church leader. I liked the book. Available at Amazon.

The book EXODUS - Die Rückkehr: Das Fermi Paradoxon 2(german) by Cliff Allister, is the second book in a science fiction trilogy. Church Inquisitor Bautista de Carrero is hunting them down. Now, the peaceful Dharma-Rakshaka are in danger, too. Jaron and his crew must gather evidence and spread the word about the alien artifact. The book Quanten Chaos (Quantum 5) (german) by Douglas Philips is the fifth book in the Quantum series. The Chitza crew invited Nala to travel with them to the edge of the universe. After they disappeared, a new Chitza expedition asked Daniel to join them in finding the previous expedition. A new gadget, a universal translator, helps them to communicate with different cultures across the multiverse. They encounter the descendants of extraterrestrial beings who lived on Earth. They are seeking the secret to sensing the intentions of others in order to develop proper empathy. There were lots of good ideas and I enjoyed reading the book. Available at Amazon.

In Australia, there is a top-secret base with a new quantum device that can transfer living beings to the multiverse. However, only a select few can travel. Metschner and Tanaka have teamed up to jump to alternative Earths. Their task is to find new technology that could help overthrow the American totalitarian regime. The man collapses and dies. The message appears to be from the future and states that an atomic strike is imminent. The government therefore urges Daniel to travel to the future with the stranger's device to collect information and prevent the catastrophe. The story was really good and I liked the book a lot. Available at Amazon.

Idris Telemmier tries to understand the Architects who attack and destroy entire planets. They seem to be afraid of something. The sci-fi thriller was good. Available at Amazon.

Maria Kendricks is part of the first human expedition to visit an alien civilisation. Humankind receives help from Zin, an alien counsellor who represents a galactic AI entity that controls the transfer between different cultures. Maria receives a gift: a hat that enhances her perception. She needs it later to rescue Nala from a quantum experiment that has gone wrong. The book was really interesting. Available at Amazon.

Earth establishes a new coalition and takes command of the Delphi station. Meanwhile, the MacKenzie corporation is transferring their assets, as well as their autonomous digital intelligence, Adi, to a new space station. After discovering the Aperanjen homeworld, Catie McCormack visits the planet to offer them membership of the Delphi Alliance. The book After Death by Dean R. Koontz is a hightech-thriller. An accident at a research facility kills the entire crew. They were conducting research on an artificial microorganism. Only security officer Michael Mace is resurrected with new abilities. He can surf the web with his mind and bypass any firewall. After fleeing the lab, he is chased by the government and criminals. The story got off to a difficult start. The writing at the beginning consisted mostly of long, complicated sentences. Fortunately, it improved from the middle up to the end. I liked the idea of how society was forced to change for the better. Available at Amazon.

Professor Susan Taylor finds a strange alien artefact in the desert. With the help of a bodyguard, she brings it to Oxford. Scientists examine the artefact and encounter a mechanism inside. The book Gedankensturm: High Tech Thriller (Nick Hall 4) (german) by Douglas E. Richards is the fourth book in the Nick Hall series. A pregnant woman was the sole survivor of an attack. She left a message for Nick Hall asking for help. A new enemy with new superpowers appears. The crew must find out if he is friend or foe. They also have to fight Troy Browning, another mindreader, who has made an alliance with the new enemy. The tory was quite good and I enjoyed reading it. Available at Amazon.

The book The Secret of Secrets by Dan Brown is the sixth book in the Robert Langdon series. Harvard professor Robert Langdon visits with his friend, Katherine Solomon, Prag. Katherine has been invited to be the keynote speaker at a renowned conference. She does research in Noetik and gives an interesting talk about the latest research in human brain. Her contact, Dr Gessner, encourages her to visit her lab the next day. That's when things start to go wrong. Dr Gessner is murdered and Katherine's book manuscript disappears. Langdon must find out what is going on and try to survive subsequent attacks. I liked the book very much. Available at Amazon.

When some German generals realise that Hitler's decisions will lead to the senseless death of hundreds of thousands of Germans, they take over. From then on, they have to make decisions to save the German nation. I enjoyed reading the book. The idea is quite interesting and plausibly explains how history could have been different with different decisions. Available at Amazon.
